Born
in Surrey in 1964, Mick spent his formative years in Plympton
during the era of Pogle's Wood, The Clangers, Dr Who, Belle and
Sebastian, Atom Ant and Robinson Crusoe, to name a few. The peculiarly
melodious TV theme music of the time undoubtedly had an influence
on him; he recounts playing Dr Who on the piano at 4. Having been
born with a musical ear and playing guitar for 26 years, he creates
a wide variety of moods with his versatility of genres.
He has produced Incidental music for Wild Yonder's The Last Refuge
with Richard Leaky and Anna Kerina; a documentary on the endangered
black rhino, filmed by Nicholas Jones. Also, on a less serious
note, the theme tune for The Adventures of Clipper - a children's
high seas animation by Tony Fay of Antonio Productions,
A
Spanish guitar and percussion album with ex- Van Morrison drummer,
a blues abum and, most recently, a dub blues album are other projects
that Mick has Authored.
Mick's
forte really is serious guitar music with very melodious slant.
His choice of television are in-depth documentaries from volcanology
to astronomy.
He
records in his 48 track digital studio in Exeter, Devon, and welcomes
commissions for his high quality fingerwork to augment new film
and television productions.
